Kaspelon Documentation Office

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of kaspelon.digital, a policy and documentation resource published by the Kaspelon Documentation Office.

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site. Every section below is part of the same agreement, so read them together rather than in isolation.

Use of the site

What you may do with the published manuals, standards and procedure documents, and where written permission is required.

Reading and printing

You may read, print and share the documents published here for your own organization's internal use. Internal use covers staff handbooks, onboarding packs and printed desk copies kept inside your own operation.

Quoting with attribution

You may quote from the documents with attribution. Name Kaspelon Policy & Documentation as the source and link to the page the quote came from so readers can check the surrounding guidance for themselves.

What is not permitted

You may not republish the library as your own, resell it, or present the standards and guidance as work you produced. Rebuilding a paid training course or a client deliverable entirely from these pages is outside the licence as well.

Commercial permission

Commercial use of the content as a service offering requires written permission from the Documentation Office. Send the request through the contact page and describe how the material would be used.

No legal or professional advice

The content on this site is documentation guidance and formatting standards.

It is not legal advice, compliance certification, or a professional opinion about any specific organization. A document that follows these standards is not thereby legally sufficient, and following the layout conventions here does not create a client relationship with the Documentation Office.

You are responsible for having your own counsel review anything legally operative before you adopt it. Where a policy binds employees, customers or vendors, treat our pages as a drafting aid and confirm the obligations with a qualified adviser in your jurisdiction.

Where our guidance and your counsel disagree, your counsel's reading of applicable law governs.

Accuracy and changes

We aim for accuracy and we update documents when we find errors, but we don't guarantee that every page is current at the moment you read it. Documents carry version notes and review dates so you can judge for yourself how recent the guidance is and whether it still matches the way your organization works.

We may change, add, or remove content at any time, and we may update these terms when needed. When a document changes in a way that affects how it should be applied, the version note records what moved and when. If you rely on a printed copy, check the review date against the version published here before you circulate it internally.

Version notes

Recorded beside each document so a reader can see what changed and when it changed.

Review dates

Shown on the page so you can decide whether a document still fits your current process.

Rules and review dates keep a printed copy honest against the version published here.

Intellectual property

The text and structure of the published documents belong to the Kaspelon Documentation Office. The document type, organization and formatting conventions we describe are intended for general use, and you may apply them freely inside your own manuals and procedure documents without asking first.

Third-party names referenced for illustration belong to their respective owners and are used without any claim of affiliation or endorsement. Where a referenced example appears on our pages, it is there to show a pattern we think is worth copying, not to suggest any relationship with that organization.

Where the line sits

Yours to use: the document type, the section order, the heading conventions and the clear-space rules we describe.

Ours to license: the published text itself, the wording of the guidance, and the structure of this library as a whole.

Someone else's: brand names, product names and marks that appear in our examples for illustration only.

Terms index

Limitation of liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the Documentation Office is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including decisions made on the basis of a published document.

This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Nothing here asks you to give up rights that a statute does not allow us to waive.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Documentation Office operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. The current version of these terms is always the one published here, and the version you can read on this page is the one we will apply.

Terms still apply

Acquiring one document does not change the licence covering the library.

Separability

One unenforceable clause does not remove the rest of the agreement.

Updates

When we revise these terms, the revised version replaces the previous one here.

Reading these terms

Short answers to the questions that come up most often about using this site.

Can I put a Kaspelon policy manual in my own staff handbook?

Yes, for internal use. Print it, adapt the structure and circulate it to your own staff. Credit Kaspelon Policy & Documentation somewhere in the document, and do not present the guidance as something your organization wrote.

Does following the standards make my policy legally sufficient?

No. The standards cover structure, wording and formatting. Whether a policy holds up depends on the law that applies to you and on the facts of your organization, so have your own counsel review anything legally operative before you adopt it.

Can I use these documents in paid client work?

Applying the format conventions in deliverables you write for clients is fine. Reselling the library, or running it as a service offering, needs written permission from the Documentation Office first.

I spotted an error in a published document. What happens now?

Tell us through the contact page and mark it as a terms question if it concerns this agreement. We review reports, correct what we can confirm, and note the change in the document's version note.

Questions about these terms

Questions about these terms go through the contact page. Mark the message as a terms question so it's routed correctly, and include the page or document you were reading so we can answer with the right context. Most terms questions get a reply within a few business days.

There is no need to write twice. One message with the document name and your question is enough for us to trace it, and if a different team owns the answer we will pass it along and tell you where it went.
